Use the Blue Cedar Platform to integrate your apps with BlackBerry AppConfig enabled. To implement app-specific AppConfig policies, you need to upload the Blue Cedar template file to your BlackBerry UEM account, and apply it to apps and users in your UEM project. Follow this process to implement AppConfig for your integrated apps.

Use the Blue Cedar Platform to define an app security policy with BlackBerry Dynamics and BlackBerry AppConfig enabled. Integrate this policy with an app, and download the integrated app.

Download the sample Blue Cedar app policy template file: BCAppPolicyTemplate.xml. This is an XML file that defines the AppConfig options for a sample Mattermost app. (See BlackBerry Dynamics Application Policies Definition for a description of the format.)

Edit the template file for app-specific configuration details, such as serverUrl.

Use the BlackBerry UEM to create a Dynamics project and upload your integrated apps. Typically administrators add iOS and Android versions of the same app to the same Dynamics project.

In the BlackBerry UEM, go to the Apps section and open your app project.

Click "Upload a template" next to "App configuration," and upload your edited AppConfig policy file. The template appears as a configuration option under App configuration.

Click + to create a new policy with the same template.

Click on the App configuration Name to open the policy options (App configuration dialog box). Update the configuration options for your app.

Save and return to the app page.

Save and return to the main UEM page.

Go to the Users page, and assign the app to each user.

Click the user's name.

In the Apps table, click the + sign to open the Assign apps dialog box. Select the app and click Next.

Choose the App configuration policy from the drop-down menu, and click Assign.

To change App configuration policies, you can choose a different App configuration policy from the Apps table by editing the App configuration field.
