This article lists known limitations with the Blue Cedar Encrypted Data at Rest implementation in specific situations, including workarounds where applicable. We will edit this list if/when other limitations are encountered, or when limitations are resolved.
iOS app limitations
Compass App (iOS 8 and iOS 9)
We are unable to intercept file-io calls for cached URL responses, which writes cached data into the directory WebCache/fsCachedData.
Android app limitations
If Android apps use static initializers, they may execute code before the Blue Cedar injectable has finished initializing. This can cause crashes or data corruption when used with a DAR policy.
Workaround: Add the following file to the exceptions list:
- Touchdown app: Location: Sandbox or SD Card, Path: *nitroidglobal*
