The App-Ray extension provides access to the App-Ray service, which you can use to scan your mobile apps for security vulnerabilities. The scan doesn't modify the app itself. Enabling this extension gives you access to the App-Ray step in the Setup & Analysis stage of your workflows. Click Add to enable, and then click the gear icon to configure.

Prerequisites

You must independently set up an App-Ray account, which will contain:

  • Server URL
  • Permanent API key

If you have more than one App-Ray account, you can set up multiple App-Ray configurations on the Blue Cedar Platform.

Enable App-Ray Analysis

From the Blue Cedar Platform main menu, select Extensions > Scanning & Analysis. The platform shows the App-Ray Analysis extension.

Before users can add App-Ray to workflows, you must enable the extension. On the App-Ray Analysis card, click Add Extension.

Configure App-Ray Analysis

App-Ray Analysis requires a server URL and a Permanent API Key to connect to your App-Ray account. Create a configuration with these details when you enable the extension. You can create multiple configurations and choose among them when adding the App-Ray step to a workflow.

On the App-Ray Analysis card in the Blue Cedar Platform Extensions area, click the gear icon. Click Add Config and enter the values.

  • To generate a Permanent API Key, log into your App-Ray instance and look under Account & Organization.

Give each entry a name: these names are available as choices when you add an App-Ray step to a workflow.

Next steps

The App-Ray Analysis extension is now available as a step in the Setup & Analysis stage of workflows. When you add App-Ray to a workflow, choose the configuration as configured above.
