Setting up authentication providers

Setting up the Blue Cedar Connect Gateway to authenticate the identity of clients connecting to the gateway involves these tasks:

• Specifying local or external authentication providers.

• Specifying multiple authentication providers for user login credentials. (Optional.)

• Ordering the login search priorities for multiple authentication providers.

To configure the gateway for an authentication provider, you must perform these steps in this order:

Define the authentication provider(s). (Required.) See Step 1: Defining authentication providers for the gateway. 

Define the search order of the configured authentication providers. (Required when you have more than one provider.) See Step 2: Defining the search order of the configured authentication providers.
