Federated Authentication

The Blue Cedar Platform supports federated authentication, which allows a user to rely on a single set of credentials to access multiple applications.

With this feature, authentication is handed off to an external identity provider. Applications, such as the Blue Cedar Platform, receive authentication decisions from the identity providers without ever having access to the user’s password or other login credentials.

The Blue Cedar Platform’s federated authentication is available for identity providers that supports SAML 2.0 or OIDC.

Federated authentication is available for the Blue Cedar Platform Standard Edition and the Blue Cedar Platform Premium Edition.
