Jailbreak/Root

Jailbreaking (for iOS) and rooting (for Android) is the process of removing software restrictions imposed by manufacturers on mobile devices running operating systems such as iOS or Android. Blue Cedar Enforce enables a mobile app to detect if a device is jailbroken or rooted and perform a preventative action.

The configuration settings are shown in the App Enhancement / Blue Cedar Enforce / Protect Runtime / Jailbreak/Root section of the workflow builder:

Option

Description

Block jailbroken / rooted devices at app startup

If checked, the mobile app will not run if a jailbroken or rooted device is detected.
