Distribution - BlackBerry UEM

BlackBerry UEM enables endpoint management and policy control. Use this step to publish the app to your BlackBerry UEM instance. You can also choose manual download to prepare the app for BlackBerry UEM distribution without automatically pushing it.

Using this step in a workflow

The BlackBerry UEM step is available when you have enabled and configured the BlackBerry UEM distribution extension. See Extension - BlackBerry UEM  for details.

In the workflow builder for your app:

  • Add the Testing or Production stage.
  • Add the BlackBerry UEM step to each relevant stage.

Click on the options gear icon next to BlackBerry UEM in the workflow outline. Configure the options:

OptionDescription
UEM Deployment
  • Automatic push: Publish the app to a BlackBerry UEM instance. Choose a configuration from the menu. The menu includes all configurations available in the BlackBerry UEM extension.
  • Manual download: Prepare the app for BlackBerry UEM distribution, but do not publish. When the workflow run is complete, you can download the prepared app from the workflow run's artifacts.
Application Configuration

The default BlackBerry app entitlement details (GD App ID and GD App Version) here are pre-filled from the App Enhancement stage (see App Enhancement - BlackBerry). You can choose to override them here. They should match the appropriate app details on the UEM and in the mobile provisioning profile (if specified).

Mobile Provisioning Profile

Optional, iOS only. Provisioning profiles are matched to your distribution certificate and allow you to create applications that your users can run on their devices.

If you specify a provisioning profile for iOS apps, note that the iOS Bundle ID in that profile (part of the application-identifier field) and the GD App ID in this step must match.

When you upload a mobile provisioning profile in this step, the Entitlements section of the profile is displayed on the screen, where you can find the application-identifier.
